  • What do you like best about the place where you live?

Philadelphia is big, overcrowded, dirty, we had over 400 murders last year, drug dealers almost own their neighborhoods by threats and violence, section 8 housing that is supposed to be for the elderly and disabled is full up with welfare cases, the beurocrats rape the city coffers to take lump sum retirment then before leaving appoint themselves to a new office without retiring, the last mayor tried to hire his wife as a "consultant" for the city at 250 thou a year and when that got shot down by the people,he tried to hire his brother as one at 30 thou a month, this was the same brother he gave the contract to maintain the luggage carosell at the airport when his brother didn't have a company that did that sort of thing for 1.1 million, there were 76 cars stolen in my district last week, the cops pulled a raid on the section 8 house behind me at 6:30 AM wearing swat gear and carrying sub machine guns, the school my daughter goes to is built to hold 2000 kids and had 4000 in it last year because people in bad sections claimed to live in this area and bused their kids here. This year they actually checked residency requirements but ran out of time before school started so that culled it down to 3000 kids, packs of section 8 kids break into cars and homes daily in this area and let's not forget their ^%$& spray painting their crap on anything that doesn't move.

Do I live in a bad section of the city? It was upper/ middle class until the city turned it into 50% section 8 as far as rentals go about two years ago.Every other house on my block is section 8 that never even cut their lawns until the city finally gets on the owner.

What do I like best about Philly? The fact I'm moving the hell away from it in about two years when my wife retires. If this place had a handle, you could flush it.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!

philly is a great place to live so i dont know what the fuck you're talking about

  • @tennisss123 - NE Philly is a toilet these days. A few weeks ago my wife and I sat down before dinner to talk about the day when I heard a commotion outside.I had 3 black kids beating the shit out of another one on my front porch. Not on the sidewalk, not in the street, on my porch. Three houses down at a section 8 house, a guy got pissed off and shot his brother. My neighbor's house got broke in a month ago and his Wii that he just bought was stolen. Two months ago we had a pack of sec 8 kids in the alley behind our house at 3 AM. The lady across the street has had her car broke into 5 times in the last month and the outside lighting bulbs broken at least once a week over the last two months.Half a block down and two house over on Algon, the cops raided the place that was an MK64 hangout and found seven handguns and three shotguns stashed outside in the bushes by the front and back doors. My front door was kicked in 20 minutes after leaving for work last year.Synagogues and churches have been vandalized. Yeah,Rhawnhurst is turning into a real garden spot.

  • I have no problem at all believing your description. Philly is a mix of good and bad, and one should expect. (and I just *must* cop your 'if it had a handle you could flush it'*) gem. I'll give it right back after I finish flushing the flushable, even unto the xanga front page kingdom of the damned, ha) At least your site is an intellectual ohr le'goyim. I vastly enjoy your thorough academic standards. js/tel aviv
